Solitudes by Amelia Alcock-White
Amelia Alcock-White’s latest collection of aquatic landscapes depicts a lone figure taking refuge in secluded coastal surroundings. By juxtaposing light and dark, fire and water, with nature’s beauty and fragility, the images suggest the interrelation of personal awareness and environmental consciousness.
Fractured ‘Scapes by Matt Petley-Jones
Drawn to the energy created in composition, Matt’s paintings focus on creating movement through broken down forms and the interplay of colour on the canvas. He attempts to retain the essence of his subject while bringing to it a new dimension through his vibrant palette.
MPA Art Shows
This was the 5th year for Petley Jones Gallery to showcase the works of artists associated with the MPA Society. In their mission to inspire hope and support recovery by creating a society inclusive of people with mental illness, they have given us a chance to take part in the empowerment of people with unyielding challenges. 50% of proceeds went to the artist and 50% go back to the MPA Society Art Program.
