Llewellyn Petley-Jones (1908–1986) was a Canadian painter known for his portraits, landscapes, and watercolours. An original member of the Alberta Society of Artists, he exhibited early at the National Gallery of Canada before moving to London and Paris, where his work was shown at the Royal Academy, Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and Salon d’Automne. After serving in the Royal Navy during WWII, he held major exhibitions in Canada and abroad, completed commissions for the CPR and the Alberta Government, and created a significant body of work for Montreal’s Dominion Gallery.
