How to sell
Petley Jones is proud to have a history of consigning fine art and working with clients to sell their pieces and get the best current market value. We offer complimentary estimates on original works of art based on the market and prices realized for comparable pieces.
Whether it’s your first time buying, or you’re a long time collector – here is how to navigate buying and selling with Petley Jones Gallery.
Please send us photos of the artwork, with the artist name, size of the piece (not including frame), and any further information you might have. With this information, we can provide you with a free estimate of value.
Consigning YOUR Artwork
A consignment receipt will be provided to the consignor upon the arrival of the piece at our gallery. This will outline the fees for our services, the agreed upon sale value, and the details of the piece(s) for your review and approval.
After the sale of your piece, we will contact you to congratulate you on the sale. Artwork can be sold on behalf of individuals, companies or estates. After a sale, you would be paid by etransfer or cheque.
Selling to the Gallery
We are always seeking out new acquisitions. If you are interested in directly selling your piece as opposed to selling with us through consignment, we may have a solution for you!
Below are prominent artists whose work we are looking to both purchase directly and/or consign.
See your artists name listed?
Send us an email with photos and information on the work and we will get back you shortly!
