Michael Kluckner’s new book, “Surviving Vancouver,” asks and attempts to answer two questions: What’s survived in Vancouver? And, how do you survive in Vancouver?
From historic neighbourhoods under threat from land speculation to the debates about densifying and making room, he explores the contested space of Metro Vancouver, compiling new, more political paintings alongside his classic watercolours from twenty-five years ago.
This new publication marks 40 years since his “Vancouver The Way It Was” of 1984.
Opening Reception:
April 6th from 1 – 4:30 pm
