Distinctly Canadian

Feeling a little stir crazy and missing family and friends in Ottawa, Bellville and Toronto, we decided to create our own adventure and packed up the car and the pooch and hit the road. Years ago our attempt to cross the country ended abruptly in northern Ontario, due to a certain lead foot. 

Managing to keep the speed down on this trip, we completed our cross country trek taking in the vastness of the mountains, spectacular white clouds over the canola fields in the prairies and the endless forests and lakes through Ontario. A wonderful reminder how vast and beautiful is our Canada.

During our travels I was fortunate to acquire paintings from clients, including Group of Seven works by AY Jackson, Lawren Harris, Frank H. Johnston, Franklin Carmichael, Frederick Varley, AJ Casson, and JEH Macdonald. There is also a wonderful Molly Lamb Bobak and a rare WM Kurelek. 

Such an amazing trip, returning safe and sound and excited to share some Canadian history with all of you.
