This exhibition, “Gems From the Past,” celebrates a remarkable collection of early Canadian artworks, showcasing newly acquired pieces by some of the country’s most iconic artists. Featuring works by J.W. Beatty, Franklin Brownell, William H. Clapp, Maurice Cullen, Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Alexander Y. Jackson, Frank H. Johnston, Edwin Holgate, Jean-Paul Lemieux, J.E.H. MacDonald, David Milne, James W. Morrice, and Albert H. Robinson, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into Canada’s artistic heritage.
